1. Make a list
With your holiday booked and travel insurance arranged, make a list of things you need to take with you for your travels to avoid that last minute rush. And make sure you take your baggage once you've packed it all!

To avoid being a target of crime; try not to wear conspicuous clothing or jewellery. And remember not to leave valuables on the back seat of your car.
9. Rent a car
Be mobile on your holiday, and take trips to surrounding areas and book a car for a week or so.
